Planning your 2024 President’s Club getaway? Wondering where in the world to send your team that will seem fresh and exciting? If your group has grown tired of the same old Caribbean getaways, here are some…

European Hotspots to Consider for Your 2024 President’s Club

Florence, Italy

While hordes of tourists flock to Rome and Venice, we always send our teams to Florence. To say the city is steeped in culture and history is truly un eufemismo. Florence is an open-air museum, known for being the birthplace of the Renaissance. In addition to iconic works of art, Florence is also home to stunning architecture, delicious food, and very friendly people.

Your team can spend their days exploring historic sites, sampling incredible cuisine, tasting wine that may make them weep, and shopping for handcrafted leather items. As a bonus, Tuscany is a mere 40 minute drive away, which means your group can enjoy the rolling hills and vineyards there as well!

There are plenty of 5-star accommodations in the area ready to pamper your top performers. We recommend the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze, which boasts astounding gardens and the Michelin-starred Il Palagio restaurant.

Portugal

We have fallen in love with Portugal! Lisbon is of course a must-see, but Cascais and Sintra are also wonderful destinations. On one recent incentive trip we sent our group on a bike excursion along the stunning Cascais coastline. Along the way they could taste and tour many of the charming wineries. There is also the Penha Palace in the Sintra Mountains that makes for a great day trip. Portugal offers numerous ways to wow your top performers.

And speaking of wowing them, the Penha Longa Resort (a Ritz-Carlton) was once a monastery. This property will make your group’s jaws collectively drop when they arrive. Beautiful, cultural and offering 5-star elegance.

Switzerland

Anytime we’ve announced our incentive trip destination is Switzerland, I swear we get the biggest reaction. There is just something so alluring about this country that gets people really excited and motivated.

You can throw a dart at a map of Switzerland and pretty much hit an ideal destination. Would your group rather explore majestic mountains and charming little villages? Then head for Zermatt, Gstaad, or Bürgenstock. If they’re more of a scenic lake group, then head for Geneva, Lausanne, Montreux, or Lugano. Then again, there is something quite fantastic about the bustling cities of Bern and Zurich. It’s just so hard to pick! Each of these locations offers its own variety of hotel options. What we can say is, if you are looking for ultra-luxury digs, you can’t beat the Bürgenstock Resort, Fairmont Le Montreux Palace, or Grand Hotel Zermatterhof.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

Dubrovnik is considered a second-tier destination, but don’t let that category fool you. Yes, these destinations offer great value, but they are also usually “off the beaten path.” So even the most well-traveled in your group may have never set foot here and will delight in exploring every nook and cranny.

Dubrovnik is an immaculately preserved Renaissance city. The historic walls are breathtaking in images, but to see them in person is something else entirely. This region of Europe also offers an interesting mix of coastal activities that will surely please your top earners.

When it comes to awesome accommodations, there is no shortage here. We personally like the Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik because it perfectly blends history with modernity and period charm with contemporary elegance. Located on the outskirts of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, the hotel will offer your group breathtaking views of iconic red roofs and the picturesque Adriatic sea.

Mallorca, Spain

Got a team who is into health and wellness? Send them to beautiful Mallorca, Spain, where they can traverse a variety of landscapes. From lush mountain ranges to pristine beaches and peaceful plains, your group will get their hearts pumping and flex their muscles. There are also a plethora of water activities and great food and shopping to boot!

As for hotels, you simply can’t go wrong with the St Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort. This 5-star resort has been called a Mediterranean sanctuary. The 125 guestrooms and suites each have large private terraces with alluring views. And the hotel’s spa is one of the biggest and best on the island, offering services that will pamper your top earners.

Malta

And rounding out our list of top European destinations for your 2024 President’s Club is the charming island of Malta. Set off the coast of Italy and boasting 7,000 years of history, Malta offers visitors honey-colored stone architecture and winding old streets to explore. There is also St. John’s Cathedral, the Upper Barrakka Gardens, the Gozo Blue Lagoon and many other locations to spend an afternoon. And your team will most likely love visiting the ancient walled city of Mdina, where part of season 1 of Game of Thrones was filmed.

As for accommodations, there are many 5-star luxury hotels on the island. We recommend the Phoenicia Malta, a Mediterranean landmark. This upscale neoclassical hotel is considered Malta’s most iconic. Overlooking the Grand Harbor, the Phoenicia Malta is just a 5-minute walk to the National Museum of Archeology.
